Three international students from the Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede joined Strukton Rail Consult for a practical week in June. The students from Jordan, Vietnam and Indonesia were specially selected for this week.
They had to calculate and test the practical settings of protective relays for a medium voltage installation. The students were coached by Strukton Rail Consult engineers and a teacher of Saxion.
Coordinator Marco Leuning, Manager of Electrical Engineering, emphasized that this initiative is good for the reputation of Strukton and that cooperation with the Saxion University offers mutual benefits. Strukton benefits from young, highly trained electrical engineers and Saxion benefits from the practical input from the field.
