The VRB 25 hydraulic platform vehicle is used in new catenary work. The vehicle has two platforms, one of which is large and limited to vertical motion, and the other small with a working height up to 8.2 m and a reach of 2.6 metres outside the track. The hydraulic platform vehicle has an operating station able to accommodate 4 people.
There is an automatic loading crane at the rear of the vehicle that can reach as far as the small front platform. This hydraulic platform vehicle's train brake is rated for up to 100 tons of coupled wagons.
