Gemma catenary renewal and construction train
The Gemma catenary renewal train is suitable for the renewal and construction of contact wires. The machine can draw two wires simultaneously. The 16/25 kV overhead wiring system is designed to pull the carrier cable and the contact wire in one process. The feeder line and earth cable can also be pulled in one process, depending on the distance between the centre of the track and the catenary support. The Gemma works twice as fast as the traditional method.
