Maintenance concept

Our mission is a safe and reliable railway. And we share that mission with our customers. We notice that customers increasingly focus on output. Our maintenance concepts make this output documentable and transparent.

Client control
A good maintenance concept consists of maintenance activities that manage the risks that have been recognized. We align those maintenance activities with the customer’s requirements regarding the degree of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS). We then make choices based on the available budget, together with the customer. We show the level of quality delivered using analysis and reporting tools.

Continuous improvement
Strukton Rail tests its maintenance plans using “control loops”. To do so, we analyse the implementation and inspection data, together with information from measuring trains and the failure history. If the quality level measured is not in accordance with the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), an adjustment of the maintenance concept is recommended. This means that the maintenance concept is continuously being improved. Our analysis and reporting tools allow the customer to keep track of this process.

Location specific maintenance
The maintenance concepts take local circumstances into account. A maintenance activity may e.g. be performed more or less often, and more or less intensively for the same type of points, depending on the underground or the quality of the ballast.
